Mariëtte van der Velden-Roesink, MSc., Managing Director
Drs. Mariette van der Velden-Roesink is Managing Director of Amdix B.V. since 2010. Mariëtte has over 15 years experience in biotechnology business. Prior to joining Amdix, she was Business Developer at the AMC Technology Transfer Office, Business Developer at AMT, and European Product Manager Cerezyme at Genzyme. She holds an MSc in Medical Biology from the VU University and NIMA marketing degrees.

Prof. Dr. Hans Aerts, Scientific Advisor
Prof. dr. Aerts, head of the Biochemistry department of the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam and founder of Amdix BV, is internationally renowned for its expertise in the field of lysosomal storage diseases, and specifically in lipid storage disorders. He contributed to the development of enzyme replacement and substrate reduction therapies for Gaucher disease, and the discovery of biomarkers for several lipid storage disorders.
He published his investigations in close to 200 peer-reviewed journals, cited >600 times per year. He is founder of the European Working Group on Gaucher Disease, and the Dutch representative in the external advisory board of E-Rare (European Research Network for rare diseases), and member of the advisory boards of the Dutch and UK Gaucher societies and the Dutch Fabry society. In 2007 he received the Alan Gordon Memorial Award for his significant scientific contribution to Gaucher disease and the patients.
